Relief Support Workers – Northamptonshire

Relief Support Workers

£6.66 per hour

There are a number of Relief Support Worker posts available within these areas which offer the opportunity to work without fixed weekly hours.

You will be providing person centred support to adults with learning disabilities living in their own homes in the Northampton and Wellingborough areas, enabling them to promote their independence, develop new skills and actively participate within their home and the community.

You will be supporting individuals who need your support with everyday tasks such as personal care and domestic activities as well as help to pursue chosen hobbies, leisure and social activities.

Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided; more important is a positive and professional attitude and understanding of the issues faced by people with learning disabilities and the commitment to provide the highest quality service and work towards achieving the best quality of life for each individual we support.

Holding a QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification or commitment to working towards achieving this qualification is essential along with the ability to communicate effectively and work as part of team.

You will be required to work on a rota basis covering all shift patterns, including nights, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins, so flexibility and reliability are essential along with the ability to travel to different services in the area.

Holding a full UK driving licence would be advantageous as there may be a requirement to drive the cars belonging to the people we support.
